Common questions:

1. May I see a dental hygienist without a dentist?

A: Yes! Maine allows Independent Practice Dental Hygienists to treat patients for non-restorative, preventative care without a dentist. All patients must have an initial appointment first. You will be given an outlined dental hygiene recall plan based on your specific oral hygiene needs. If any restorative needs are detected, you will be given a referral to a dentist.

2. Do you accept insurance?

We are accepting the following insurances:

  • Northeast Delta Dental Premier and PPO (Includes Delta Dental of ME, NH, VT, MA)

  • Martin's Point Generation Advantage

  • Medicare Advantage

  • MaineCare Insurance

  • Guardian

All patients who have an insurance not listed above, patients without insurance, or patients with insurance coverage denials will be responsible for the full cost of their services. Payments will be due on the day services are rendered.  We accept all major credit cards, venmo, and cash.

3. What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for a courtesy of 24 hour cancellation prior to the appointment. Cancellations can be made online, through text or by calling.

4. Do I need to premedicate with an antibiotic prior to my dental appointment?

A medical clearance will be required for patients who have a heart valve replacement, joint replacement, history of infectious endocarditis, TB, recent pacemaker, heart-attack or stroke, and recent or current chemotherapy/radiation treatment.
